Hi Just wondering if the front sprocket bolt has a an anti clockwise thread before I put a big breaker bar on it ,as it is bleeding tight . Cheers

It's normal (RH) thread.

Yeah it is a normal thread but think on it'll work tighter over the life of the chain. Lock the wheel and get a big f*** off bar and it'll eventually give. WD40 and rock it a bit and will give up the ghost in the end.

It took 8ft of scaffold pole to get mine off, and two people holding down the back of the bike so they can be fairly tight.

Also, when you re-fit the nut make sure it's to the correct torque setting. I had my bolt work itself loose recently and it eventually broke the sprocket cover housing with the strees it put it under,

Hi Chaps
Thanks for that ,I kind of knew that it was a std thread but as it is going to take a fair bit of undoing, I just thought I'd ask. :D
