Tyga fairing

Post by Foxy400 » Sat Jan 16, 2016 2:14 pm

Tried this question under the 'Chinese fairing' thread but got no replies, so trying again with a new post.
Has anyone out there bought the NC35 Tyga fairing kit and tried to fit front indicators? I'm looking at the whole, pre-painted, standard design body kit. They supply it without holes for front indicators and I want advice on drilling&cutting the upper fairing without risking damage.
Tried to contact Tyga Performance for advice but no answer to my email.
So has anybody had a go?
Cheers.

Thanks for that Dave. Jap4's Manchester address is just down the road from me, so I might go and knock on his door!

Good question Foxy! Can you let me know the answer? I'm going to get round to fitting the fairing I've had for 18 months soon...

You just have to sort it out yourself. It's not rocket science here. You take a look at pictures or your previous fairings to get a sense of where to drill the holes then do it. Would be nice if they came that way already, but it's not difficult.

Cru, you're spot on. Maybe use masking tape to stop the drill slipping?
And that's about it. Can't wait to get mine on.

Sounds simple enough..but another question from someone who's never tried it before, is it best to drill from the outside or inside? I'm guessing from the outside (with masking/insulating tape to stop the skids).

From outside using the smallest bit you have to make a pilot hole then increase bit size to the diameter required take your time using the old adage measure twice cut once when you're 100% happy with position both sides.
