That's taken you nearly 2 years to respond..better late than never, as they say. Still not 100% convinced about that sidestand but each to their own. Many years (80's) ago I had the sidestand on my Kawasaki Z550 chromed . What was I thinking?

Don't know if you've noticed but there are few nuts and bolts missing from that green meanie, so give it a check-over before you hit the road. No stickers either. Why's that?

An ongoing project that is close to running again (again - again)... I have been restoring it for years... it was bought as a very abused cafe-d bike.

I like the puddle on the floor of water/oil in the first picture, doesn’t matter how long you’ve been restoring it for only that you have been restoring it.

Very brave of you to take on a bike in that state. I know if I started something like that the cost would spiral out of control because I'd want it to be as perfect as possible. I'd end up trawling the net for hard to find parts and paying daft prices for rare bits...hold on, I do that anyway!

Exactly. And I've got a garage full of fidgededooda, not to mention the cupboard under the stairs. Can't understand why my wife calls it 'clutter'. It's an investment.

I think the cost has been about 1500 + 300 (which I paid for the bike originally) over the space of 7-8 years (who's counting), which I thought was ok, I had sold another NC23 that was 90% complete (lacked an exhaust and ECU) that was made up from spare parts that i'd bought along the way.
I'm not sure I'd ever strive for concourse and have deliberately ruined it's collectability by fitting the 900 front-end - that said, it's only a case of swapping back the original yolks, but I definitely want to get all the plastics restored and the tank painted.

Also to put things into perspective my other bike is a Ducati 907, which I've just spent £101 for new front indicator lenses. Which makes the CBR seem positively economical.
