Blanking of one headlight, Endurance style.
There was a thread a while back, may have been on the old forum that covered blanking off the right headlight hole for the endurance look. I seem to remember it was done in a way that kept the curve and lines on the original panel instead of just simply blanking it off. Anyone remember this or have a link to it?

It was Billy (Tanuki) that did it, but he's in the land of the rising sun at the minute. I think he cut the original light in 2 and had the hole filled with fibreglass, but I'm sure someone with an elephants memory will remember more.

Re: Blanking of one headlight, Endurance style.
If I recall, Tanuki only trimmed the RVF lens (the right hand side one) and kept the rest of the unit; I know he had someone to plug the left hole with a bit of a fairing, I think.
I went the more 'radical' route and chopped the headlight in half, keeping the left one.
There's a guide about this on my site if you need.
This applies to the RVF400; the NC30 wont need any headlight chopping because it's 2 units!

Erm, this is rather embarrassing, but my RVF had its last Mot before I did that mod and it's been off the road ever since!
I doubt any MOT man will even think it's not suppose to have just one headlight; if one does though, he's an idiot and in that case just go elsewhere!

I've ran 1 light on mt '30 for a few years now - not a sausage out the MOT people.

Found the thread I created: http://www.400greybike.cc/newforum/view ... f=23&t=376
It dates back to May 2008, so if you can't see it try changing the "Display posts from previous" to "All posts", found at the bottom of the pages.
Tanuki's thread is here: http://www.400greybike.cc/newforum/view ... 6d9e7cccbf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Most of his photos are missing though, try pages 6&7.

Tony, maybe an idea, I used a front endurance headlight cover (it fits perfect on the NC35)...
