Help me justify this!
As some of you will know ive been after some lense covers for the silhouette nose cone i have, viper kindly lent me his which ive copied using some perspex, their not great but their do the job. Anyway ive just had an email back from sprialspinner saying they can get me some original silhouette covers the issue being they weigh in at 12500 yen about £90-£100 . That is delivered but still a lot of money for what is essentially just a bit of plastic. On the other hand the bike is never gunna look 100% complete without them and chances of getting some 2nd hand are not good.
So what do ya think? madness or completely reasonable?

Re: Help me justify this!
You have one of the nicest Nc's on the forum and you have been very specific about the quality of the parts on both of your Rvfs, would I be right in thinking the nose cone itself was a bit of a bargain? If so can you justify the cost of the covers if you think of the total cost of the nose and covers? Just offset the bargain against the painfull bit and think of it that way.
Need any used Nc30 parts? Want to fit a Ducati front end to your Nc30? If so give me a shout.

Tony, as nice and flush as it'll look with originals on it, they are not worth that money IMO. I'd rather put the £100 to use elsewhere.

Re: Help me justify this!
Cheers paul, i must admit it does bug the hell out of me when things dont look quite right and i know i wont be completly happy unless i get them. It was a bit of a bargin and even if i paid that for the covers it'll still come in well under the retail price.Riley wrote:You have one of the nicest Nc's on the forum and you have been very specific about the quality of the parts on both of your Rvfs, would I be right in thinking the nose cone itself was a bit of a bargain? Thanks gavin, i hadnt given up on you, hopefully your get them a little cheaper or at least match the price as id rather order through a uk company. Just one thing though you do know that the RVF and VFR covers are different shaped, they may not look it but i borrowed viper's VFR silhouette covers and the right side is the same but the left is different and doesnt fit the RVF silhouette nose cone.Gavin jap4 wrote:getting a quote on the lenses at the moment by the way just waiting on the reply email
