NC24 carb bell-mouths
Hi,
Having managed to obtain the manual from Jim, I have noticed something which I wondered if there was a clear answer to. I have read repeatedly that the VFR's should have the rubber inlet bell-mouths installed in the airbox. My NC24 has them, but the have seen better days, been installed badly in a previous life, gone hard and distorted. I note in the NC24 manual from JIm, that these arent shown as being fitted and indeed have "O" rings between the carbs and the aluminium inlet base plate. So, why are the bell-mouths fitted? would the replacement by "O" rings,as shown in the manual, have a detrimental effect? I also found on stripping the carbs that front and rear have 115 main jets with 35 pilots. I dont know the previous gistory of this bike but assuming the carbs etc are as per build. Any thoughts?
Regards
Ty

Re: NC24 carb bell-mouths
the 115's are from a later model 24, earlier had F112, R115. They should have bell mouths so sounds fairly normal to me.

Re: NC24 carb bell-mouths
The manual is for the NC21 (which has no velocity stacks). the NC24 is covered via amendments throughout the manual)
