NC35 race bike

Post by bozz1974 » Thu Jun 28, 2018 3:39 pm

I am off Saturday morning to look at a NC35 race bike, its an ex RLR bike, but the last engine refresh was done buy a chap called Kevin Pierce, just wondered if he is on here, or anyone on here knows his work, or the bike I am going to look at. Currently owned by a guy that lives in north wales, it has Maxton forks and Penske rear shock.

Thanks in advance Dave.

Well the bike is now sat in my garage, just checking it over to make sure everything is OK. I plan on racing it at Donnington with NG in August.

Here are some photos as requested, as you can see the fruit shoot expansion bottle has been replaced, with a genuine HRC catch tank which makes the bike instantly faster.

Had a few races on the NC35 now, and my main issue is the rev counter, it a scitsu one that needs to be charged between races, and if not it gives an incorrect reading, and tbh its a pain, as its one more thing to remember to do. Can anyone recommend a decent replacement, I have a nc30 counter in my spares box but I have been told its not compatible with the 35.

Other than that the bikes still far more than me, I am out again this weekend with EMRA at Mallory park, looks like another damp weekend, but if your there please feel free to come and say hello in the paddock. blue nc35, race number 53.

I have one on my nc29 and I’ve never had to charge him between sessions. Is the battery in it knackered? If so you can get them replaced.

Couple of questions about the bike, first is now I have finished racing for the season I had a bit of a deeper look into the bike, it does indeed run a ram air set up but does not run an air filter, which is something I would like to change.
The second is my top rad is bent on one side I just want to know what are the dimensions for the standard top rad.

Other plans over winter are a new set of SES rear sets, and some new clip ons to replace the budget SES set already fitted.
