I though I'd start a tyre discussion thread...!

I have BT092's on my NC29, nice and sticky (the edges of the rear often get peeled hard riding).

However I find that the rear does not curl round anywhere near enough? It goes off the edge way before any serious lean angle. Does anyone else have this problem? It is the standard sized tyre for the bike which leads me to believe that the actual tyre profile has been designed that way.

they are odd shaped, but ive never had a problem with them, use them on the GF's bike, and she manages to wear out the sides before the middle.

to most here, you already have the best tyres for the NC29.
i run BT090 front- grip
BT092 rear-longevity

you can try a taller wall than 60mm.=
150/70-17 H

would going up 10% in the wall hieght make that much difference? or should i go up a size to a 160-60?

the tyre on there at the moment really doesnt curl round much at all, i even had a bit of a scare saturday morning when i went out and nearly slid out on a roundabout where it went off the edge of the profile!

or you rode over some oil/diesel. i hate rounderbouts for this very reason + the muppets who pull out on you!

160/60 will slow the turn in
so will 150/70

160 will slow your turn in to a certain degree. i used 160 on my cbr and didnt really notice a difference. also hlped that you cant get part worns for £40 a set in those sizes
