Re: The NC30 & 35 tyre thread
I've just managed to pick up a cheap unused 155/635 R18 YCX Bridgestone rear slick for track use
Would a 125/60 R17 Bridgestone slick be compatible on the front or is it too wide?
############ EDIT ##########
Cancel that just picked up a 120/600 R17 slick instead

Re: The NC30 & 35 tyre thread
What track front do people use? was looking at pirelli but can only see 120/70 - 17 and no 120/60 - 17
Again - Bridgestone only 120/70 - 17 and no h rated.
edit to add: just seen tonys post on the previous page about the 120/70 - 17 front being fine.
what about speed ratings? and any comparisons for the battlax vs the supercorsas?

Re: The NC30 & 35 tyre thread
I think I might run S20s on my NC30 with a 17" rear.
Anyone tried them?

very keen to find out what you think of the S20 on the front….. I'll be trying one in a few months too so lets post our thoughts here.

I will be waiting until the summer at least. Still plenty of tread left of the shinkos!williamshatnerspants wrote:very keen to find out what you think of the S20 on the front….. I'll be trying one in a few months too so lets post our thoughts here.

Bought some Bt090's beginning this month and the date code is 0314. So Bridgestone did produce them this year. I really thought it was EOP (end of production) already long time ago.

I've got S20s on my 1098s. They rock. If they can handle that torque they should be epic on an NC30.

Good news. Trackday season is starting up in the next month or so. I should really save for the tyres. They are not cheap!vfrman wrote:I've got S20s on my 1098s. They rock. If they can handle that torque they should be epic on an NC30.

I felt a little slip in the street when they are cold, but they get to temp pretty quick.

Re: The NC30 & 35 tyre thread
I heard through a dealer the S20s might not work that well with a smaller capacity bike, being designed for bigger bikes and wouldn't heat up. I've decided to go for Dunlop Sportmax Alphas (12s or 13s).
