90 front, probably a good bet, bit softer, more grip- at the expense of wear. My view tho, for the few pounds more if it saves you from falling off then it's money well spent

Anyone had any issues with the BT92 rear 'running out of tyre' at sort of 'knee down lean'?

You have to hang off like a monkey to get knee down with a 92 rear on, it can be done but i very very rarely scrape the pegs, no chicken strips rear(bt92) about 5 mil front(090)

thanks mate! anything you can tell me about this tire? it's on the RVF400 i just bought. Will use the bike for commuting and weekend riding

They're a decent all-round tyre, classified as 'sport/touring', so not super sticky but they last well and are good in most conditions. Brief overview here: http://www.dunloptyres.com.au/dotCMS/Ty ... m=nPerPage

I would fit something more sticky when they wear out, but these are a good choice for commuting.

I had the GPR100 last time around on the RVF. I thought they were a decent tyre, I dunno how long they had been on the bike before I got it but after I put 5000km on it, the rear was squaring off badly and the front was down the tread depth indicators all round. The rear had a pretty tame profile, I managed to scrub off the chicken strips completely and that was just doing moderate-fast speed road riding. The front was a bit more aggressive and had about 5mm chicken strips on each side. I found the front to be very twitchy in corners, hitting small bumps at a high lean angle didn't feel stable at all and I had no confidence in the front end, which I initially thought was down to bad suspension setup. The rear was alright but just didn't have the type of profile I wanted and ran out of tyre too soon.

I'm now using Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's, I can't recommend them enough. The difference is like night and day. The front end is so stable and confidence inspiring through all corners regardless of bumps, I have no issue scraping pegs (and I have Tyga ones) through bends on the roads, let alone on the track. The rear also has a much more aggressive profile, this means tip in is much easier and much faster. Once it's tipped in, it holds it's line perfectly but still has no problem if you need to adjust, I can also open the throttle earlier now and the tyres feel as solid as ever. Transition from side to side is also quick and smooth.

Rosso II's are a definite option on the RVF, if you can get them for a cheap price, I would get them, can't fault them.

Jashdown do you find it hard to get heat into Rosso's? Ive heard they cant be troublesome to get warm because they are designed for bigger bikes.
