Now now, no rack envy allowed here ;-).

Wait till you see it with the tailpack on. Looks unsightly but the pros FAR outweigh the cons (only con I can see are the appearance of a huge rack lol). You can still filter with it (as demonstrated this morning on the M1 standstill traffic, 2 french guys I passed who had everything but the kitchen sink were trying but failing to filter!), you don't notice the rack or pack is on there while you're riding. Even in heavy crosswinds its no worse than if you were riding without in my opinion. You can still do up to 180mph* without any problems too.

It's so easy, throw all you want in the bag and you just slip the bag over the rail and clip it on at the bottom. Bingo, ready to go.

*my nc has modified tank pad which allows this. ;-)

So...bumping a thread from the depths of the forum. Has anyone fitted one of these Ventura racks to an RVF (NC35)? Any reason why it wouldn't bolt up?

So, to partly answer my own question, the first thing that needs to be done is to install a couple of rivet nuts in the NC35 subframe, which is easy enough. Just curious as to whether the brackets will clear the RVF tail cowl. I’d assume yes, but not really sure. To further complicate things, I have a Tyga solo tail cowl. Hmm.

We toured Europe in 2011 using the oxford sport panniers and tank bags - on a CBR600rr & CBR400rr. Just put a microfibre cloth under the bags to stop the rubbing.

Bagster (used to?) make a tank cover for the NC30. I have one in red and white and one in black. I also have a black one for my NC29--but I was told that was from a limited production for a Japanese bike club...

I forgot about Bagster. I wonder if the NC30 tank cover would work on the NC35? I kinda doubt it due to the air scoops.
