I got a cbr600 shock from Graeme set up for me along with late rr type forks. I would say I shat myself when I took it out after fitting both the above at the same time. It made a hell of a difference turned in with sod all effort, held the line, easy to change direction. Worth the money.
Thanks for that, it looks like that's the way to go.

Yes I would like a Rear shock from Graeme France as well. My bike rear shock is too soft. Im recently worried about this Ultra Low emission bullshit in London and im getting my biked booked for 1st week of April to get emission tested. Im gonna put the stock exhaust on, has anyone got any other good tips for making it pass?

Thanks

Borrowed from pistonheads website for those being stitched up commuting in London

was worried I'd have to sell my perfectly good 2003 Hornet cos TFL deemed it old and toxic... fortunately there was a very useful thread in BB https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

As long as NOX emissions are below 0.15 then you can apply for an exemption. If your v5 doesn't have emissions data you need to get the certificate of conformity

I'm not sure how well known this is. TFL don't seem to publicise it and will only apply an exemption on a case by case basis. I think lots of people will be selling up completely unnecessarily unfortunately! Maybe their loss and others gain? Selling a bike with an exception might help.

Although other owners will have to follow the exercise anyway - for reference a 2003 Hornet emits 0.0940g/km nox

Interesting point about the London ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) charges being forced onto users of powered 2-wheelers. As far as I understand it, as of April 1st any bike made before 2007 will have to pay £12.50 a day to enter the zone (same 'zone' as the current Congestion Zone). This is the same as a car, van or mini-bus.
Anyone with any sense can see this see this is ridiculous. Many countries understand that 2-wheelers help solve congestion & pollution and should be encouraged..but not our government  . They don't give a shit about bikes and wish we'd all just go away.
However, I didn't know there was a chance of exemption if your pre-2007 bike can pass an emission test. They're not publicising that! Bastards. I tried clicking on your Pistonheads link but drew a blank..literally. Nothing there. Anyway, the exemption is something to look into.

Bowches, I'll let you know how the GF shock swop goes.

God knows why the link didn't work so find the Pistonheads website
Tap on = Gassing station
Tap on = Biker banter
Title of the link I was going for is = ULEZ Motorcycle Ultra Low Emission Zone HONDA BLACKBIRD

Enjoy the read and no it is not widely publicized

Going back to the subject of shocks, in case this is useful to anyone. GF charged me £250 for a rebuilt CBR600 shock with remote adjuster, plus £60 to set up (for my weight) and fit it. Not tried it yet as he's still got the bike.
