Teaser - NC30 alloy tanks...?

Post by RickOliver » Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:41 am

This is a one-off with Monza filler cap for my `60s GP replica styled NC30 but I`m thinking of having a batch made with more conventional central filler caps.

They won`t be cheap (£500+) - is anybody interested...?

Cheaper than a new fuel tank which you obviously can't buy anymore. Nice one Rick

They are made in India for that price looking at the bottom.

Yes they are made in India but very solidly fabricated and still 1.5kg lighter than a stock tank - there were a couple of small fit issues with that first prototype, the Mk2 version with central flush filler cap and standard breather boss (and fitting issues resolved) is currently under construction, I`ll post pics on here when I have it.

Jury`s out at the moment -

The fit of the first prototype is not good enough for me to want to put my name to it and Chad (rcv4) has voiced some quality concerns based on his prior experience with Indian-made tanks - I`ll see how the second one turns out, if that`s not up to scratch then I won`t be pursuing this any further...
