A place to bang on about subjects close to your heart that affect us all as 400cc riders. general banter is rife, however rudeness and abuse seem to be the norm, If a bit wet round the ears best go play elsewhere. Auto pruning of items 31 days and older

I'm too old (45) and set in my ways to use Facebook bollocks and very much prefer forums as its full of people who know exactly what they are talking about as they have come across the fault before and are willing to share their knowledge. oh and don't post pics of their f$$$ing meals.

I'm with laninator. Can't search Facebook groups for info...encourage all to move to tapatalk, that sorts out the pic posting...

Brilliant site, it would be a shame to see it get smaller still...400gb Facebook group that links to here or something? I don't know. 400gb Instagram? Get the youngins into it?:-p

I went through a faze of using facebook but soon discovered it was not really suited to "quality" but aimed at lots of content.
I rarely use it these days, keep a few track day events on the radar and bits and bobs like that.

No idea who setup the 400greybike group, it may have been rory either way i wasn't consulted or asked about it - which kinda says it all to me really.

I do see facebook going the way of myspace / bebo / friends reunited and something else will come along for the kids.
Facebook when your young is cool - until your mum wants to be on your friend list.

I am thinking of whittling down the 3 sections per brand into 1 and get rid of a couple of the empty sections - but i would value your feedback on how to do this and how you guys want to see it.
As said - unlike facebook this is YOUR site and i will do what i can to make it easier and work for those still using it.

I still pop by every day - but I'm not posting so much - simply because I've got my RVF to a place where it runs really well, and all I'm doing is just racking up the miles and all I'm doing is throwing tyres and fuel at her.

I had another service this year by my local tame mechanic - where he stripped it down and inspected & lubricated all bearings (outside of the engine) - like hub, headstock etc. Valves done.
The bike is brilliant!

If you look at who are admin on the facebook page, it's porndoguk Ricky & Em.
But think the usual suspects will always pop up here.

I always still pop on here on a regular basis.

Regarding the Photobucket issues just install the Photobucket Hotlink Fix extension in Google Chrome. Job done!

The way I see it is I'll use Facebook for a quick photo or to pick up a spare part at a sometimes reasonable price, but if I want specific bling part or an intelligent answer to a unique question I'll always go here. Can't stand stupid nit picking, in fighting that gets so off topic and general chancers on Facebook posts

Simplyfing the content may make like easier...

But if people dont post then the site declines.

I was a really long time lurker but as I've increased my bike count to 11 - (lol) I have decided to at least post now.

As is said this is the greatest forum for these bikes - hopefully it will run longer than my bikes & I'm aiming on giving 1 to my child for her 18th - she is 2 now....

That would be me, having just joined here a couple of weeks ago with new-to-me NC21 and NC30. I'm certainly reading through a lot of old threads, but not posting a whole lot yet. I just took the NC30 out for my first significant local trip, covering about 65 miles. Once I get a little more trust in the bike, I'll do a day trip up to Deal's Gap in Tennessee and some less-traveled roads nearby. Then, maybe I'll have more to talk about.

My old favorite forum was (and still is) just an Email list. Twenty years ago, we were hitting 100+ messages per day. Lately it's just a few messages per day, but we still have groups of 50 people show up travelling halfway across the US to a few gatherings around the country.

That's an awesome garage of Honda's for a guy in the U.S., you're making me feel jealousy. That's a rare pair you have. I've got two 5th Gen VFR800s, but it's not the same.
