Only one head lamp works on mine, been like that since I got it, is it meant to be like that, the parking light and full beam works on it though, just not dipped, normal?

Some interesting stuff on there. The only hard thing is sometimes trying to understand the techno jargon they use. but can muddle things together.lol

does the speedo have to display MPH to pass MOT?? my bike displays KM/H but i have a speedo healer will this be OK to pass MOT?

Mine has kph, and an MPH overlay(plastic sticker)....

Short brake/clutch levers ok? If not why not, what if I can get all 4 fingers on a short brake lever just like people can on a full lever what then?

I'm a bike MOT tester and the MOT manual is very confusing on certain things and there isn't a yes or no answer

If it improves the quality of a bike on the road then I'm all for it. Some of the stuff I have wanted to fail but have to pass because it just meets the requirements is ridiculous. Like tyres just coming up to the markers, I can only issue an advisory even when I know full well that they won't get changed until they're onto the canvas

And what about sprockets? How many MOT testers actually look at the front sprocket? I've lost track of the number of times I've seen a bike pass because the rear sprocket looks OK, again knowing full well that the front one is fucked.

MOTs need to become stricter and testers need to be monitored for compliance more closely. I've not been assessed/inspected by the board for over 18 months!!!!!!

mine passed today with no advisory's...first ever MOT for me :D
